Course Description
New course offering for the 2019/20 school year!
There are two parts to this course, one focusing on printmaking Print and Book Making and the other focusing on book art. Topics under the printmaking portion may include block printing, reduction [block] printing, screen-printing, collagraph, or etching. Different types and colors of printing inks and papers will be explored. Topics under the book art portion may include bookbinding, book alteration, interactive books (such as pop-up, folded, or flip style). Different conceptual themes and ideas may be assigned for each book that is created. Printmaking and Book Art is a half-year, half credit class.
Students are expected to have a solid foundation in art and a serious and independent work ethic. Suggested pre-requisite is a C- or better in Drawing I or Art I.
